This simple bolt-on kit requires no maintenance. Unlike the factory Cummins grid heater, which can fail and destroy your engine, Banks coil heaters are designed to fail safely, avoiding catastrophic engine damage.
Cold Weather Starting Recommendations
The Banks Dual-Heat Upgrade Kit is designed around RAM’s block heating recommendations.
RAM recommends the use of a block heater at 0°F/-17°C and mandates its use at -20°F/-29°C. Failure to follow these instructions could lead to premature wear and/or failure of key components, including pistons, rings, and cylinder walls.
